Our First Virginia Ride!

We're black and blue from pinching ourselves to be sure that we're really here.

This is what it looks like out at the farm where we're boarding the horses.....
Joe and Sarge doing a little warming up in the arena because Sarge was acting like a green broke colt instead of his usual steady 15 year old self.  I'm sure that having a couple of month lay-off didn't have anything to do it!

Cloud and I posing in front of the Blue Ridge up in one of the hay fields.....
(btw I'm really loving my new little mare!)

Crossing the stream on our way back to the barn......

And another view of the mountains from the hayfield...... Surely I'll never get used to seeing such a beautiful sight?!

  1. I've been in Virginia 4 years and never get tired of the views. You won't either. :-))

  2. Beautiful views from your part of the state. Even though we are in Virginia as well, here on the eastern shore we don't have any mountain views (sadly). Looks like you, Joe, Sarge and Cloud were all happy to get out for a ride.

  10. Girl, OMG. Wait until your friends from Louisiana see those mouintain views! They will be making reservations in that spare bedroom. I bet the horses are acting a little frisky in the cool mountain air. You and Joe must be having the time of your lives!! Enjoy. Deb
